The program reflects Rabobank Indonesia’s commitment in creating high quality local business players in the Food and Agribusiness (F & A) sector. Rabobank Indonesia awarded undergraduate scholarships to five IPB (Bogor Agriculture Institute) students in a ceremonial event. Rabobank Undergraduate Scholarships will cover tuition fee, allowances for cost of living, books, and final year research thesis during four years or eight semesters of their studying period. Launched in July this year with the aim of supporting the improvement of higher education quality of Indonesia’s young generation, this initiative is part of the Rabobank ’s corporate social responsibility program focusing on education.

Rabobank Indonesia announced strong growth in net profit amounted up to Rp 64.2 billion in first half of 2009, 75 percent higher than its net profit in the first half of 2008, which was Rp 36.6 billion. “Rabobank has successfully grown its business while at the same time maintaining positive results in the first half of 2009. The significant net profit growth was achieved due to three main aspects; the combination of higher income, our good cost management and acceptable level of provisions,” said Rabobank Indonesia President Director Henk Mulder.
